Living Water Field Visit to San Pedro Alpatláhuac

Posted Dec 11, 2013

Living Water staff visited the community of Cuantinchan, within San Pedro Alpatláhuac and spoke with members of the community about the projects that had been completed and the hygiene lessons that they had learned. A cistern had just been completed in the center of the village, near the elementary school, which will aid in bringing clean water to students and their families. The staff then visited a few homes where women proudly showed off their \"tippy tap\" handwashing stations.

We were pleased to see so many of these tippy taps, and the excitement and dedication of the women. In addition, we also noted that many of the women were storing their trash above ground in bags, another great indicator of adapting behavior change from the hygiene lessons.
