KINNA COMMUNITY READY FOR IMPROVED WATER SUPPLY

Posted Oct 27, 2014

FH Kenya is in the final league of ensuring the KALDRR WASH program realizes its objectives just before the program period ends.

More beneficiaries are expected to be reached in the coming months with the anticipated completion of the Kinna Water Scheme in Isiolo county.

The project is expected to reach approximately 10500 people with improved water supply in Kinna. The on going project is earmarked for improving the intake works at the Kanchoradi spring, protection of the spring catchment and increasing water storage and supply by installing a 108,000 litres elevated steel tank.

FH is working closely with the county government of Isiolo to facilitate power installation that will be key to the pumping of the water.

The water will be chlorinated automatically by installing online chlorine dosing unit to improve water safety.

With this improved water safety, the persistent water borne illnesses within the community members will be a thing of the past.
Its a matter of time that this will be accomplished
