Action Against Hunger

Action Against Hunger has engaged in Madagascar to improve the early warning system for Global Acute Malnutrition and related malnutrition challenges by conducting a study on hydro-climactic data and nutritional and health status. You can find a briefing in English or French.

CARE developed a document discussing the social and environmental threats to highland ecosystems including a focus on climate change and equity. This document “Caring for our Mountains” is available in English or Spanish.

The Nature Conservancy and Conservation International are both part of the Africa Biodiversity Collaborative Group. Their main page provides many resources and reports.  Below are a few reports of key interest on the topic of WASH and WRM.


Global Communities

Global Communities has been implementing the “Watershed Management and Conservation” component of the Dry Corridor Alliance Program, a collaboration between USAID and the Government of Honduras.  This document, available in Spanish or English, provides learning about Strengthening the local governance of watershed management for water supply.



Helvetas has pioneered the development of Water Use Master Plans (WUMP).  Here are a video and a briefing document about WUMP.
